Linger & Cling is a collaboration between choreographer Sadie Leigh, and photographer Mark Williams Hoelscher. Together, they’ve combined their respective knowledge of movement and stillness to capture what would otherwise be ephemeral moments. Like catching a butterfly in a jar, these images offer the audience a chance to take a longer look at something that should only last the blink of an eye. Under the cover of long exposure photography, the subjects attain near-anonymity, blurring into an abstraction of the human form, and creating something of a Rorschach test for anyone viewing the work.
